Vacation in Oregon

I know it doesn't seem like the time of year to enjoy the lovely February weather of Oregon, but summer is right around the corner, and it's about time to start making summer vacation plans.  Here are my top three reasons to come vacation in Oregon:

Camping: There are hundreds of campgrounds all across the state of Oregon.  Whether you are touring the Oregon coastline or are traveling through the eastern national forests, there are plenty of varieties of campgrounds available for whatever need.  Many have lodges that include cabins and yurts, and many have space for tents and RVs.

Fishing: If you're into that kind of thing, Oregon is a great place to travel to.  Their rivers are full with fighting gamefish, steelhead and Chinook salmon, and there are many charter ocean fishing options available too.  There are options for the inexperienced fishers as well including guided tours.

City Attractions: Oregon has a great set of cities running along their western side including the college towns of Eugene and Corvallis, and the larger cities of Portland, Salem and Medford.  There are plenty of restaurants, attractions and places to stay in all of the cities.  All making for nice break from your wilderness adventures.
